Law reform
Community legal clinics engage in law reform to try to change the existing laws, regulations or policies of government that affect poor people. This work includes preparing briefs, making presentations, joining law reform coalitions, and participating in government consultation committees.

Do The Math/Put Food in the Budget
The link between poverty, hunger and health is well established. Advocates from across the province including legal clinics have used a budgeting exercise developed by the STOP Community Food Centre called Do the Math to educate the public on the inadequacy of social assistance rates and the impact that has on recipients’ ability to pay the rent and eat healthily. WE are seeking a $100 a month healthy food benefit for social assistance recipients. For more information see http://dothemath.thestop.org/
